SAVED, JUST IN TIME: Pom Pom the pomeranian was found tied up in a plastic bag near a rubbish bin in East Coast Park. Ms Esther Wong and Miss Rayne Gan have since looked after it and are hoping to find someone to adopt Pom Pom.

A female pomeranian dog, about seven years old, was found in a tied-up plastic bag near a rubbish bin at East Coast Park last Friday night.
It had a nerve injury and was not able to stand on its own.

Fortunately, it was found by a group of about 10 friends who had planned to go fishing near Bedok Jetty.
Miss Rayne Gan, 26, a marketing executive, told The New Paper how they found the dog at about 11pm that night.
'One of my friends took along his dog, a Husky. It started straining towards the rubbish bin, towards a red plastic bag in particular.
'It's usually alert to the presence of other animals, so we thought there could be a dead dog in the bag, which was loosely tied up,' she said.

Out of curiosity, they opened the bag and found a motionless dog inside.
Miss Gan said: 'We thought it was dead at first. It was lying on its side, not making any sound. It was covered with pee and poo.

'The owner should respect a dog's life. Dogs have feelings too. A pet is for life and it should be treated like a family member.'
Miss Gan's friend wanted to send the dog to the Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) but she decided instead to call her friend, an experienced dog rescuer.
Her friend, nursing student Esther Wong, 22, has helped about 10 animals in the past four years.
She agreed to put up the dog for a few days so Miss Gan drove to Ms Wong's home in Woodlands with the injured animal.
Ms Wong, who has three dogs and a blind cat, said the dog had a good appetite. It gobbled up two trays of dog food.
Miss Gan, who has two mongrel dogs as pets, said: 'It was malnourished, like it had not eaten for days. I could feel its ribs.'
That night, the dog, which has been named Pom Pom, would howl loudly whenever it was alone.
Ms Wong said: 'My husband and I stayed up until about 4am, petting her head until she finally went to sleep.'

The next day, Pom Pom was taken to the vet and was prescribed vitamin B complex for its nerve injury.

A Letter To My So Called Best Frd
Dear XXXXXX,
It has been like super long since u sms me or even call me... actually... i was kind of disappointed in u... to me the only time u will look for me is WHEN UR HUBBY IS NOT FREE OR NO ONE TO ACC YOU. I remembered there was one period we will constantly meet up... tink it was juz before your wedding... when u were either still working for ur dad or when u quit and look for another job. I remembered you were damn freaking free.. so i tink we met up at least once a week or more... those meet-ups were nice... me bringing you out to shop for clothes makeup or juz nua one corner and chit chat.
Den came your wedding... i did my super best to help wif watever that needs some help. You even complained to me tat u shld have juz ask me be the bridesmaid instead of jiemei only. Cos your cousins were in a rush too and forgotten to help u to bring some stuff... i knew u did appreciate me help (i chose to tink it tat way la... i not v sure abt how u feel)
Your hse-warming... u ask me to come early and help to buy some stuff up to ur hse... i also did ar... cos i tink u do deserve all my help... i din noe most of the pple there.. except basically your cousins... but still help to do some entertaining as some of them saw me at ur wedding.
Den i tink u started work... our meet-ups grew lesser... but still some efforts in our smses to each other... den it started... whenever i ask u out on a WEEKDAY... u also have the same excuses... too tired... den u will ask me out on a WEEKEND.... most of the time i really cannt make it... cos i am those in the majority who meet bf on wkends... wkdays I DO NOT MEET HIM AT ALL.... i told u many times abt this liao... i still dun understand y u only have wkends free... and pls i noe u meet ur frds on wkdays de... it came out from our conversations... i felt hurt cos it bcome.... u proritse them above me... and it drag on to many months of nv meet up....
Ya.. there was this one time i was so upset wif my mum tat i literially insisted to meet you... cos u are the one of the only few who knew y i will feel this week... you were going to ur mum's place so u ask me up too.... come to tink of it.... a few of my last meet-ups were at ur mum's place... i do appreciate the offer to eat some great home-cooked food... but it does seem to me for u to kill two birds wif one stone... acc ur mum and be a gd daughter and to 'pretend' to listen to me when i talk... tat was how i feel...

The Fish Bone Event
T-T
i HATE fish bones!!! i meet ms coco for dinner and to pick up my haul from skinfood korea (that will be in another post). We ate at Crystal Jade as ms coco was going thru the braces process(poor babe... pulled out 2 teeth already and install something tat shifts the teeth to the correct location) so she can only eat mushy and soft food... sighz.... she ordered the scallop porridge and me the fish porridge.... i so so so regret ordering the fish porridge lo... initally when i started eating it... it was pretty nice and tasty... den i started on the fish... i chewed on the fish... felt no bones... down it goes den... i felt this sharp pain at the throat.... sighz... coco suggested eating more food to drinking more water to dislodge tat stupid bone... nope.. ALL tat not work... it was stubbornly lodged there.. T-T....
so we went home early (tat was the plan anyway... din wan to stay out too late), rch home... den i tried to locate tat stupid bugger... it was sharp and it was protruding out... sighz... tried to ignore the pain... din worked... complained to daddy... parents got parnoid... inisted that i go to GP or A&E... so off we went to Tan Tock Seng A & E....
sighz.... here comes the long wait... parked... registered....checked temperature....
and proceed to the payment counter 1st... -_-" hvt see doc muz pay 1st liao... the 1st doc poked aro my mouth to hunt for the tiny fishbone... she say cant see... send me for x-ray.... waited again.... 2nd doc looked at the x-ray and say also cant see... and proceeded to poke aro my mouth again... -_-".... still cant find... she say muz be either damn tiny or lodged from far down my throat.... sending me to the throat specialist... T-T... sighz.... waited AGAIN... this was the longest wait... tink the doc was busy elsewhere... he appeared... sent into the room.... again he viewed the x-ray... i tried to tell him where it was.... but cant really talk well... cos... i tink the bone slide further into my throat... and it was very uncomfortable and there was sharp pain whenever i tried to talk.... he used a very bright light to shine down my throat... used a metal thingie to press down my tongue... T-T and use a bigger version of a tweenzer and started the hunt for the elusive fishbone... after 2 tries.... he found it!!! i was like an idiot.. damn happy... kept clapping my hands... -_-"... doc smiled and asked me.... u wan to keep the bone as a souvenir??? -_-" cute rite... *btw the doc was pretty hot looking... :x* i replied... noooooooooooooooooooo .... my dad was like grinning away... hahahaha
the doc went on to tell us tat it was a sharp sharp fishbone and most prob normal GPs may not be able to locate it without the right equipment...

oh god... bro... u are letting us all go juz cos of ur incident wif tat GAL?? i am truthfully damn upset now... y cant u talk to us 1st? why cant u clear ur head 1st... y cant u tink in our shoes??? YY!!! can tell us why??
not only ur wife is upset wif u... we are too... i really to hope tat u din chose to seek "her" out on sat nite... i do hope like wat ur bro tinks... u are alone on the beach REFLECTING on your mistakes... but through ur conversation wif Ig... u nv... u still bloody hell tink u are correct... juz tat u need to LET ALL OF US... WHO SINCERELY CARE ABT U AND SHARON GO... wake up... bloody idiot... pls do... i am not saying we will terminate our frdships wif u... we will always stand by u.... but this not the way to solve this issue wif ur wife....
she needs to trust us... u have to help to build her trust in you and all of us... i can truthfully tell her tat i treat u like my another elder bro.. some1 who takes care of me when we are out... some1 i whine to on msn abt the various aspects of my life.. *mainly work though*.... i DO NOT wan u to spend more time wif us and less time wif her...
to her, i did treat u like a sister... but... well.... u are quite demanding for attn... at times it is hard to understand and comprehend.... i am tired of showering attn on u.. but did does not give u the reason to attached ur self to other guys... is there no other gfs u can approach? yes... he can give u a guy's opinions on issues btwn u and ur ex.. he stays bloody near u so damn convenient to meet up and talk... but do DO bear in mind.. he is a married man wif a sensitive wife... they have issues to work thru.. he SHLD BE PLANNING HIS WEDDING DINNER FOR GOD'S SAKES! i am v upset he is chosing to mia from us... his buddies cos of this incident... this incident was the cause of his wife's breakdown... i really am upset wif u... and u are chosing to keep mum.. i am VERY sure by now.. u somehow or rather noe wat happened liao.. if not... y u chose not to reply to my sms??!!!
